Kang Eun-Jin

Lee Yoon-Jin
Abstract
It is true that our childcare and health care service policy has been implemented segmentally. This is due to the segmentation of parenting and health care services itself, as well as the process leading to pregnancy, childbirth and childcare, and the provision of health care services at the time of childcare support does not meet consumer needs. In the meantime, the integration of welfare and health care has been widely discussed, but the link between childcare support for infants and toddlers has attracted attention recently. The purpose of this study is to investigate the direction of the development of infant and child care and integration of health care services in Korea through case studies and interviews. As a result of the study, the system of child - rearing and health care service in Korea is segmented by law, but some local governments are attempting to link services in terms of service provision. Most of them are supported by the center. Community-based integrated health and child care support service system for infants and toddlers can be expanded in consideration of the characteristics and size of each community. In order to ensure that these services are carried out smoothly within the community in the future, it should be accompanied by an active support of the central government and a social awareness that the support for health and nursing should be integrated in the nursing period.
